About
Finding the right speaker
should feel like possibility.
You have an audience to serve. A topic that matters. A chance to bring people together around something worth hearing.
An independent directory. Clear pricing. Organizer feedback we collect ourselves.

What we believe
Three things we hold to.
You should know more before you reach out.
A conversation should be about your audience and what you want them to take away. You shouldn’t need a call just to find out whether a speaker fits your budget.
The right voice isn’t always the most familiar one.
Sometimes the right fit is a name everyone knows. Just as often, it’s an expert your audience hasn’t heard of yet. Fame isn’t the test. Fit is.
Your time belongs on the event, not the research.
Whether you’re planning a company event, shaping a conference, or bringing your peer group together, you should spend less time chasing basic information and more time creating an experience that matters.
How we help
Less guesswork.
A better starting point.
Every profile follows the same structure, so you compare like with like and reach out already knowing the basics.
See how it works →Fees and session options on every profile.
Each listing shows what the speaker offers, in which formats, and what it costs. Travel and availability where provided.
Hear from organizers who’ve booked the speaker.
We collect ratings and reviews directly from past organizers, so you can understand what it’s like to work with a speaker before reaching out. The Verified label requires at least three reviews from separate speaking engagements and an active Verified plan.
Help when you want it.
Inquire about a speaker directly, or tell us about your event and we find you a short list of speakers within five business days. Short List requests are free during our launch.
The founder
We’ve been
on both sides.
Rachel Christenson founded Short List Speakers after working on both sides of speaker booking. She spent years running a sales training company and arranging keynote and workshop engagements for its speaker. She also organized webinars and live events for networking groups, served as a learning chair, and booked speakers for professional peer groups.
I know firsthand how hard it is to match quality speakers with the right audience, and the right audience with quality speakers. As an organizer, finding the right speaker was fragmented, confusing, and took far too much time. I wanted to spend that time planning something special. That’s why we created Short List Speakers.
