The rules for the optional marketing text program, written to be read.
Effective October 1, 2026. This program is operated by At The Helm, Corporation, dba Short List Speakers.
What you get.
Marketing text messages from Short List Speakers. Organizers get texts about The Short List newsletter and speaker previews, which are live online sessions with a speaker. Speakers get texts about the speaker newsletter and chances to be featured as a speaker. Texts are sent in addition to email.
How to join.
Check the Text Alerts box on any Short List Speakers form that offers it, or on the Text Alerts page. Joining is optional and is never a condition of using the directory, listing as a speaker, or requesting a speaker.
Frequency.
Message frequency varies, up to 2 messages a month.
Cost.
Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for texts; your carrier may.
How to stop.
Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Reply HELP for help, or email connect@shortlistspeakers.com.
Carriers.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy.
We do not share your mobile number or your text-message opt-in consent with any third party, other than the providers and aggregators that deliver the messages. See our SMS Privacy Notice and Privacy Policy.
