Teams That Persevere

$4,000
Keynote1 to 2 hoursIn person
For CEOs and senior executives, executive peer groups, general corporate audiences, and boards and nonprofit leaders.

I ask the audience to describe each item. Then I discuss each as a metaphor and then move into practical examples and skills. After discussing the practical illustrations of each example, I ask the audience to write down their own personal/professional examples. Finally, I talk about how all three contribute to a team that perseveres through unpredictable and challenging situations.

  • The Cup: How do you create the right environment for teams to succeed?
  • The Pencil: How do you continually push yourself and the team to greater success?
  • The Puddle: How do you stay calm amid the chaos?

About Scott

Over the past 7 years, I have led my organization from an existential crisis, brought on by the global pandemic, to a strong financial and strategic position. This success was not due to a major pivot or the infusion of outside capital. Rather, it is most attributable to a fundamental commitment to building a strong, cohesive, and resilient team. From this experience, I have developed a relatively simple approach to creating and maintaining 'teams that persevere'. Using the metaphors of 'the cup', 'the pencil, and 'the puddle', I talk about how to create the optimal environments for trust, decision-making and innovation and stay (relatively) calm through it all.
