About Julio
For much of my life, I have been searching for those rare moments when architecture stops us in our tracks, when beauty becomes awe and, somehow, we discover ourselves and the world anew. I spent fifteen years looking for such experiences before one extraordinary encounter changed everything. Since then, I have devoted my work not only to understanding these moments, through phenomenology, neuroscience, and empirical science, but to learning how we might invite transcendence into our lives through art and architecture. My work has been widely published and featured by National Geographic and PBS’s Closer to Truth.
